Error 400 BadRequest

May 19, 2009 at 5:03 PM

I am trying to run this on W7RC and I am able to connect via port 40500 but when I try to send commands I get '400 BadRequest'.  Im sure Im doing something wrong.  For example I send 'button-ok - sends key to application'  or 'button-ok' and I get the badrequest response.  Any help is appreciated.

I had some trouble with this when I first installed. The key is that the commands have to be typed exactly right - the first time. No back spaces.

"button-ok" should work fine, but only if typed exactly right (and without the quotes). Also note that for any "typing" (including all the button-* commands) the media center app probably needs to have the focus (not positive about this and I'm at work where I cannot verrify)

Can you run the same commands over the http interface?

Good luck, Tony

Media Center not having focus is prob the issue.  The task bar icon would flash every time I sent a command and subsequently receive the error.  I'll try the http interface to see if I can do some basic commands.  Thanks for the help!

I'm having the same issues. I am typing everything properly. The input commands won't work.

hm. looks like a general Win 7 issue. if the MC hasn't the focus the commands will produce a 400. but even connecting from another pc will not execute the commands. but if the MC is focused the commands from the different connection succeed. at least internally. no command is executed in the UI.

can you please enter a bug report? thx.
