Invalid Application when loading Media centre

Dec 31, 2010 at 1:35 AM

I have been using VmcController for a few months on win7 x86 and all was well. I was unable to get the msgboxrich working, so I installed the beta2 again. Now when I start media centre, I get the error “Invalid Application”

I can’t remember which version I use to use, but I did access it over http, so I guess it must have been beta2? Please help as I’m totally lost without a working copy of this really handy app.

Cheers

I have now resolved this issue by doing a system restore. How do I find out which version of VMC I'm using? It has the inbuilt http server so is this Beta 2?, should this version support MSGBOXRICH?>

You're probably using one of the private builds - straight beta 2 wasn't very compatible with Windows 7. MSGBOXRICH was not in Beta 2...

I've never run under Win7, so I'm not familiar with those releases. I also don't have internet access right now, so I cannot dig around. You should be able to take a look at the exact file size and creation date and work out what private build you have. If / when I get time to work on this again I'll add a VERSION command that shows build date...

Good luck, Tony
